Company story in brief

The company of Storm Design was established in September 2003 by Julie Storm Christensen, as a design company for the sole purpose of designing industrial products for the design industry.

In 2005 production and sales were extended also to include the Storm Flowerpot. Almost immediately this product was sold to the design company of Normann Copenhagen, and they took care of the production and sales for a number of years.

In 2007 Storm Design also included graphic design in the company’s design programme.

In spring 2010 Storm Design gave birth to a new product for the company’s own production – Scoop nature container, a flowerpot for decoration of large buildings and urban space – and by the end of 2010 Storm Design took over the production and sales of Storm Flowerpot again.

In late fall 2011 the planter Scoop Moonlight saw the evening light. At first just with a white glow and at the later with all the colours of the rainbow.

Concurrently with her production company Julie Storm still designs new products for own production. Mostly new designs for urban space.

The company and its production

In order to secure the quality we chose to make our products in Denmark. In this way we can always, in close contact with the factory, make sure that the products have the quality and the finish we want from them. Thus the products are made by some of the most skilled craftsmen in Denmark, in factories that already bear great experience in manufacturing design products of high quality.

The packaging for Scoop is reused cardboard in a good state – it may be reused or disposed of as recycled cardboard.
