As a manufacturer you always have to relate to dilemmas and compromises – and a production will always emit more or less Co2 into the atmosphere.

Storm Design strives to make as environmentally conscious choices as possible:

The plastic that we use for the manufacturing of Scoop may be recycled and is already reused in two of our products – the dark green and the black ones. This reduces the Co2 emission and cuts down the use of raw materials. And if Scoop is disposed of correctly when the time comes then the plastic may be recycled completely.

The aluminium from which Storm Flowerpot is manufactured can be recycled 100%, if disposed of correctly. The factory recycles all aluminium cut-offs, when the flowerpot is made. Aluminium production emits Co2. The amount varies all depending on the energy used for production. The recycling of the aluminium reduces the use of raw materials and the Co2-emission. The coating of the flowerpot is environmentally approved, and the spray coating factory has been ISO certified.

Storm Design has started a cooperation with Trees for the future doing projects where they are planting trees in exposed areas on the planet. Storm Design’s aim is that the amount of Co2 in connection with our production compared to the absorption when buying trees will as far as possible balance.
