Storm Design has won the design competition for the Danish breastcancer campaign "Support The Breasts 2008"
Julie Storm states: "My reasons for designing this year wallpaper for the breastcancer campaigne" ,
is activly to support the collection for breastcancer.
The collection has the important goal, to help women with breastcancer and their relatives.
My inspiration for this year design was a picture with arabic characters.
The characters were made of one continuing band. Here was the idea for the "breastband"
which in one movement formed 9 pair of breasts.
A band seamed like a logical way of describing the bond between women.
Statistiscally we know that 1 woman out 9 gets breastcancer, one just don´t know who. Is it going to be me, my friend or my sister.
We can all be struck with this challenge and the currage to overcome this illness we all fear.
For this reason I entered the assignment, and encourage others to support this purpose".
